Here is a copy of the letter I am placing on every doorknob in my
sub-division   Quite a few people have asked for my opinion.  Vance

Dear Neighbor,
My wife and I have lived at 526 Crystal Drive, (Tel. 398-7827) for over 15 years, and as you probably are aware, the non-partisan races for Judges and School Board will be decided on September 10th in the Primary Election.  I am convinced the Pinellas County School System will face significant challenges in the next two years as School Choice, among other changes, is fully implemented.  It is important to re-elect incumbents Max Gessner to his At-large seat, and Nancy Bostock to represent District 5, for continuity and experienced leadership.  Richard Bennett, a fully qualified Candidate for District 2 will bring 23 years of experience on a Michigan School Board and a Doctorate in Education to the Board if elected, and Tiffany Todd in District 4 is committed to carrying on the tradition of her Father, Tom Todd, if elected.  I also have a long experience, including a Doctorate in Education, and have interviewed and listened to each of these dedicated Candidates, and know they have the best interest of the Students of Pinellas County as their goal, and I urge you to join me in electing all of these fine, dedicated people to the Pinellas County School Board on September 10th.
It is also imperative to elect qualified men to the Judicial Bench, George H. Brown is running for a new appointment to the Bench in Group 26, and as a careful, well prepared person who began his career as a police officer, he knows the law enforcement system from the ground up, Robert "Bo" Michael is running for Circuit Judge in Group 28 and these two men deserve our vote, and Judge Wayne Cobb deserves to re-named to the Bench in Group 8, to continue his steady, unbiased, Constitutional decisions.  These three men will not 'legislate' they will apply current Legislative and Constitutional Law in their decisions.  There are other Primary and nonpartisan races, and I don't have enough background on the other Candidates to comment but I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THESE CANDIDATES AS THE BEST CHOICES FOR THE SCHOOL BOARD AND JUDICIAL BENCH
        Sincerely, Vance R. Lackore, 398-7827
