Last month I wrote an article entitled "Minutemen Where are you". It was a piece that honored the heroism and patriotism of the founding fathers of our nation. I admire their chiseled determination to defend our nation from those who would harm her. These were men from different backgrounds and different nationalities who had a common thread from which they were spun, the Love of God and the Love of their country! I ended the article with a question, ‘Minutemen where are you?" This is the challenge that I would like to address in this article.

I realized that so much of our conversations as Christians revolve around all that the enemies of our freedoms have accomplished. But we must realize that just talking about it and revealing what they are doing is not enough. The Minutemen of old also kept each other informed only with one small difference, they DID something about it! If you Love the God of the Bible and our Nation then we are their successors. They have set the example for us to follow! They have handed the baton over to us and we must ask ourselves, what have we done with it?

May I be more specific and say dear friend, what have you done with it? Have you laid down the busy day-to-day activities of your life and voted? Have you rallied your fellow American patriots to the call? Are you willing to take the time from your busy schedule to help defend your family values? Or are you sitting back and waiting for the Lord to Return?

We of the Christian Coalition have been handed the baton of the Minutemen of our nation's infancy. We believe in the same freedoms they did, and there are many who are marching in our nations political offices are willing to take it away from us. Are you willing to defend her against them? How? By getting involved! As Christians we are the salt of our nation and if we don't preserve our freedoms from those who would remove them, let me ask you, who will? As Christians we are the light our nation, through the Word of God we can guide her back to her righteous foundation of Judea Christian ethics that she was founded upon.

Let me encourage you to "take courage" and become an informed Christian; lay down your busy schedule and vote, email, your leaders in government. Take a stand against those who do not have the heart for our country as we do! Find a meeting like the Christian Coalition and get involved. The founding fathers like Washington, Jefferson, and the 56 signers of the Constitution of the United States, pledged their Lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor to give us a nation like no other in earth's history. Can we do anything less? Look in the eye of the Minute Men of America's Revolution and then look in the eyes of your children and then follow your heart. And like the Minutemen of old let's start a New Revolution in the voting booth and say enough is enough! Let's take back our nation for Christ.
